Local Bookshops

36 Butter Market, Bury Saint Edmunds IP33 1DW, UK – 01284 750877

Great bookshop with lots of different book titles plus tea shop upstairs with some food available, chairs scattered around to sit and read, great shop.

Still 2 stores operating and open in Bury St Edmunds, 1 in the Buttermarket and the second in the Ark Shopping Center. The Buttermarket store has a coffee shop and sells a range of tasty treats. It's always a pleasure to shop in both stores. Don't expect to just walk in and out though, I always find myself spending at least an hour in either store. Extremely helpful staff and a massive range of books.

The monthly board game nights are excellent!

One of the few remaining quality brick and mortar bookstores.

Amazing shop for some decent books. Always worth a look for some bargains. Lovely range of arts and crafts here too. Staff are a friendly chatty bunch. Been here just over a year now and is a great asset to the town of Bury St Edmunds.
