Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Bury St. Edmunds

Bill's Bury St Edmunds Restaurant

50 Abbeygate St, Bury Saint Edmunds IP33 1LJ, UK – 01284 733822

Nice big restaurant where you are warmly welcomed and seated nice and quick. A good choice of meals on the menu at standard prices. Waiting staff are very pleasant and helpful. Although there isn't any children's soft play, this restaurant is child friendly with a menu for little ones. Staff are engaging with children, one of the waiters did a little magic trick to produce a Bill's sticker for our daughter. Worth a visit.

Bills' serves delicious food. For the money It's a lot better than Cote, which is just next door. I recommend the Cumberland Sausages & Green Curry as a 2 course. Grab a dessert from Tesco's (As there is no difference... Even make it a finest!)

Pizza Hut Restaurants

2, 2 Cornhill, Bury Saint Edmunds IP33 1BE, UK – 01284 701201

Great restaurant with the standard menu. The friendly and efficient staff make you want to come back again. The only issue is the lack of parking in the area.

Best pizza we have had, they have a good range of choices including vegan options. The place was clean and staff friendly which is why I hate to put a negative on my experience but apart from taking our order we never saw any staff to ask for ie another drink, sauces, spoons. I would like to say that if you are ordering extra toppings on your pizza most of these are available at the salad bar for free ( they won't be warm but not £1 a topping either, so top your pizza up after you've got it :) there's an ice-cream bar to visit as often as you like ( there is a fee for this) also a drink machine you can go and top up your glass, sadly they do not do regular coke only diet and Pepsi Max. All in all a lovely meal just with a few niggles.

Côte Brasserie

52 Abbeygate St, Bury Saint Edmunds IP33 1LB, UK – 01284 702799

Absolutely brilliant. The steaks were perfectly cooked med rare. Best we have ever tasted and better than the Hilton London. Staff were friendly and attentive. Only negative on the night was that we paid 12.5% gratuity without a choice but it does go to the staff apparently. Lovely 45th anniversary.

Food is lovely and it would get a higher rating if it wasn’t for the length of time we had to wait last time we went there. It was Mother’s Day brunch, but we waited for almost an hour, even though we had booked in advance. The staff were incredibly busy, but it would have been good if they had popped by the table to let us know what was happening. Because of the parking situation, we ended up rushing our food. Will wait and see how it is when we next visit. The two previous visits were better.
