It looks like someones garden shed, i mean this may be chic decor but it's verging on grim, and some of the staff seemed stressed and not very motivated which given the queue out the door all night for a table is not surprising. Despite this the door was excellent, far better than I expect from any chain eatery and the service pretty good. I had to skip dessert but somehow they managed to render lamb shank and kale superb, and the fish pie was distinctly above average. It's not particularly cheap, and the renovation to the building is closer to demolition, but it is first rate. There are a lot of great places to eat around Bury St Edmunds, but this is possibly the best for the price. If you can get over the Steptoes Yard bestrewn with feather boas horror of the decor you should head here now, and join the queue of Bury's bright young things waiting for a table at the door. Very good.
Just popped in for a coffee but decided on a late lunch. Interesting menu, nothing like you get from the pub chains. We both had excellent meals, the staff were nice and friendly, just the right amount of attention Nicest coffee I've had since Rome.

Food is lovely and it would get a higher rating if it wasn’t for the length of time we had to wait last time we went there. It was Mother’s Day brunch, but we waited for almost an hour, even though we had booked in advance. The staff were incredibly busy, but it would have been good if they had popped by the table to let us know what was happening. Because of the parking situation, we ended up rushing our food. Will wait and see how it is when we next visit. The two previous visits were better.
my Dad loves this restaurant he's a huge fan of their French onion soup and steak frites menu. Smart enough to feel special without being too fussy or fancy.

We had not been to the restaurant for a couple of years, it was as good as we remembered it. The food is delicious with an interesting choice, delicate and subtly flavoured, and the presentation is very good. The staff are most welcoming and attentive. Rarely would I lavish such praise but this restaurant deserves to be noted as an excellent place to visit.
My wife and I were very impressed with the menu, service and decor. The high quality of service (not to mention food) here is missing in so many other restaurants. The owner even managed to overcome my mix up with our reservation on the spot when we arrived, very professionally.
